Hi Lindy,
The pit bull is named Knight, and the white dog is Violet. Those sweaters were a lot of fun, but it's too bad it's hardly ever sweater weather here in the desert! I signed up for an invitation to join ravelry but there are 967 people ahead of me, so it may be a while! That's okay though, I need to get busy with some other projects anyway.
Take care, and give Daisy an extra pat from me. :-)

Hi Lindy,
Wow, that's amazing how your husband found Daisy. I don't know if you believe in karma, but it seems to me that there was some sort of karmic connection there. Anyway, she sure is a lucky pup to have had your husband come along just when he did.
I uploaded some pics on my page of the pups in their Christmas sweaters if you want to check it out. :-) No, I'm not on Ravelry, but I'll definitely check it out.
See you at the next meeting!

Hi Lindy! I do remember talking about peak oil, and the challenges we’ll face related thereto, but I don’t believe I recommended any books (I haven’t read any on the subject.) Casey (I think) was sitting next to me, and she discussed Cuba’s “Accidental Revolution,” as being the best microcosmic example we have of a society running out of petroleum fuels. I would do a Google search and a youtube search for that.

Thanks for the human waste disposal titles! I know it’s somewhat of an unpalatable topic for most people, but it seriously is one of the areas of American life that could be modified, and easily made into a more sustainable model.

Hope your day is FABULOUS!

p.s. I just thought I'd mention that I knit too!! I made my dogs sweaters for Christmas last year. I'll see if I can get some pics up soon!

Hi Lindy! I'll try to add some more pics of my "babies" once I figure out how--I'm still kind of learning and there are so many fun things to do within the permaculture web site. Oh, rescue dogs are the best kind of all! Daisy Mae is lucky to have found you, though I'm sure you feel lucky to have her too. Violet was a rescue too. I have no idea what she is mixed with but she has cattle-dog style ears, and a lab's love of swimming. Hope to see you again soon!

Hi Lindy. I just wanted to mention how nice it was to meet you this morning at the book club meeting. I enjoyed the conversation so much, and can't wait for the next gathering!

Lindy, I'm not going to be able to make it to the book club on Sat. We had to make an unexpected trip to Ohio. I hope to go to the book club next month.

Hey Lindy! The straw bale structure is being built at Desert Marigold Waldorf school (at about 28th St and Southern). Suean, architects, and people from the school are collaborating on a permaculture design for various parts of their campus.
