It is so odd to be wearing 2 layers of long sleeves in August. It has felt like an AZ winter all week here. What is even weirder, is the fact that on Saturday it felt like an Az summer...100 + degrees, hot and sunny. The next day it was 60 * , cloudy , rainy. I was actually in portland over the weekend , but I heard it was about the same here in Dexter. I am still getting used to wearing long sleeves almost throughout the summer. I am lucky to live in the same community as the editor of this magazine featured on ic.org. I met with him and the artistic director to discuss taking pictures for them. I am excited to have the opportunity to have some of my photos featured in the next few issues. I almost had the winning front cover shot but I didnt have a high enough resolution :(

What a boring first blog. Maybe this will be more exciting- I never know until I write it. I'm glad that some of my photos were featured on the main page. Why do so many new members have the same boot and shovel photo all of a sudden? The weather here in Eugene was finally sunny for a whole day and got up to 70 degrees. This week I got to witness a swarm of bees rehive (if that's a word? it seems explanatory enough though). Ama went slug hunting with a friend. They collected a bucket of slugs...… Continue

today was a beautiful day... sunshine, mocha n' cookies, laundry room discussions, hammocks n' bird songs, squash gardens, cabin waterings, garlic fields, communities magazine, yurts n' dorms, and of course, beet macaroni! :)
