We actually live in Cordes Junction -- take I-17 north to the Prescott exit and that's Cordes right there at the exit. If you go right, it's a subdivision, if you go left it goes to Arcosanti.
BTW the picture is adorable!
It sounded better when she said it :(
I find myself with free time this summer though and, if provided a list of Pacs would be willing to call them to find out how many children are actually enrolled so you would have a better idea of your shortage. I could also help gather donations for raffles or volunteer gifts. I served twice as a board member of our PTO, have chaired our nature Studies Program for the past 3 years and have worked in a volunteer capacity with several nonprofits going back 15 years.
I just spoke with Jen Dunsworth and turns out you know about Rhonda's Inspired Birthdays. You probably know about Heights 'cause Rhonda's children go there. Jen was my co-pres of the PTO back in 2005. She says hello and if you attend canning on Saturday you'll get to meet her.
Heights is at 7150 N. 22nd St and I think the program is Madison Adventure Club. Krista Yocum runs that program.
let me know if I can help,
Nichol
Received your comment on my page. Madison Heights sounds familiar, although I think we may have it listed under a different name. (A few of the programs' names differ from the school names.) PAC is providing the crayons. We bring the bags, presentation, and stencils. After we received funding from AzRC, I just started looking for places in Phoenix to present. First came the libraries, then I stumbled into PAC. So I never asked them about additional funding, but that is a great idea, I will do so immediately. I never imagined there would be so many kids in these programs. Even the numbers I was told to expect were more like 70 per program, when in reality we've had between 96 and 137. Thanks for your suggestion!
Anne
1. Did you ever get the DE for your Microscope? Nope, but I will - I just heard from a source that DE + manure = no flies, so I'll be getting some soon. I had to wait for payday.
2. We need to get some for our pool but I'm sure you could grab a free slide sample from B&L pools on 16th and Bethany (next to Richardsons) if you can't wait. Great suggestion! A pool store ! Awesome. My microscope was really cheap, so I want to get a better one before I try to do more. (My husband found it in the sale bin for 10$! It had 400x but I have no faith in the lenses - gotta upgrade.
3. I also run a reef tank so could get you a sample of live reef sand.Ooh - cool. Obviously, we must meet. :)
4. So, what's the Quaker meeting center about? I see you do coffee and music but other than that I have no clue. Sheesh, where to start? Local events, religious worship, friends, Torah gig on Mondays, Yoga on Wed., there's a remarkable list, really.
5. .I've used your parking lot as a cut-through when leaving my girlfriends house (You're FIRED. Just drive carefully, please! God knows when me, or my dog, or a pack of quails, or one of the stray cats are crossing through
6. the chic who lives behind you with the red door, Dana) Dude. When are you guys coming over fcor dinner?
7. and have noticed your plants. I thought you were a nursery school before I saw the sign.
I'm looking forward to talking with you.Ha. Me, teach children? Perish the thought and pity the children! It's a worship center, my husband is a Quaker, and my goal is to keep the Meeting children safe, happy, and out of my hair. :)
What's your week like? I work Fri and Sat, but dinner on almost any other day is great. We would love to meet you both. The husband is in nursing school, so he may not join us, but I'll try.
