Raising Chickens in Your Backyard
Instructor: Chris Buyers
Requested donation: $10 (Cash or check only)

FREE Parking: The best place to park is at a free lot on 5th street & Ash (just west of Mill). Then walk toward the tall CenterPointe condo building and you'll see all the white tents for the Market on Mill in the courtyard by the large bronze rabbits & fountains there at the base of the MadCap Theater, which used to be the old Harkins Theaters.

Learn the basics of raising chickens, from their first days as a small cute chicks, to the first egg, to your best feathered friends. This 90-minute class covers care and feeding of the your day old chick, to making your hens healthy, happy and content to give their farm fresh eggs to you. We'll also cover stages of feeding, functional living quarters, general health issues, as well as different breeds to raise. Have your questions about raising chickens in your own backyard answered with Chris Byers, a well experienced expert in all aspects of caring for farm fowl.
