There's a groundswell of interest in raising urban livestock, and you'll understand why after taking this remarkable tour! See chickens, ducks, quail, bantams, and more, kept in attractive urban coops and usually an integrated part of a complete urban gardening experience.

This tour will change the way you think about the possibilities of city living!

Come and be part of the FIRST ever Tour de Coops in the Valley of the Sun – created by the Phoenix Permaculture Guild. The tour is Saturday, December 5 from 10am to 3pm.

We'll need a volunteer to staff each site aka Coop Assistants (the 11 sites are spread around the North, Central, and East Valley) to help direct traffic, sell T-shirts, books, and tickets, and make sure visitors are using the sanitary precautions and obeying site rules.

We could use a few more to help coordinate miscellaneous tasks on the day of (route rover) and run the raffle.

Here’s all you need to do to volunteer: Reply by 11/28

Drop me an email with your name, phone number, the part of valley you would like to volunteer North, Central, and East AND if you prefer 1st shift (9 am – 1pm) OR 2nd shift (12:30 – 4:00pm). Include what role you are interested in as well. (Coop Assistant, run raffle, route rover)

I will collect all the responses and let you know your assignment.
We will hold an ALL volunteer training on Tuesday, December 1st from 6:60 – 8pm at a central location TBD. Please plan to attend the training.

As always THANK YOU for supporting the mission of the Phoenix Permaculture Guild to inspire sustainable living through education, community involvement and creative cooperation.
