"I love me Sissoo, but it is away from any building, and also shades our chicken coop. Which was part of the reason it was placed there. Just saying. There are no bad trees just bad placement.. We have a 18 year old carob tree about 30ft high. That…"

finally built it

I finally built my bike powered grain mill. I am very excited about not having to do at least 12 cups a week of flour via hand crank. If anything it makes you appreciate your food more. Another thing I like about it is that it was 100% built with stuff I had or found, and 95% of it was trash. I love building stuff from trash, to me that is recycling. If you guys haven't baked your own bread or ground your flour, I highly recommend it. The taste is so much better than any thing in the store,… Continue

My Reason , my passion

My friends ,family and many other people have asked my why I changed the way I live. Why I grow lots of stuff, why I have chicks and ducks and why I try to harvest rain water etc... I just said it was a better way to live , more rewarding, more self sufficiant etc... But I kept asking myself that and came to this conclusion. I love mother earth ,I also want to lead by example for my kids,I want to give back instead of always taking. But deep down inside it is also my quite revolt to our sysrem… Continue

New LIfe

I am 27 years old and it took me 26 and a half years to realize the commercialism is the biggest lie out there. We have a half acre and me and my wife are finally going to put it to good use. My wife has bugged me for some time to garden but I kept ignoring her, but I finally saw the light . I have fallen in love with gardening,or farming in general it is were I have always belonged. . Conserving and cutting back on waste and trying to make a difference in this world has been very fulfilling.… Continue

Are you still interested?
Describe to me in an email sylatupa@mail.usf.edu
what size and what you have near to attach to.
Also include any objects/steel/cable/hardware that you think can help.
Please give me a brief idea of where about you live too, thank you. Shaun
