Rachel will show you how easy it is to keep chickens in your backyard. Chickens in Phoenix? You bet! Chickens make great pets, efficient bug and weed eaters and excellent soil tillers, not to mention that they provide us with wonderful fresh eggs!…

Welcome to the Guild! And to Arizona? Looks like your maypop farm community is in Texas. I imagine you miss that. There are some cool-beans folks here on this website and lots of ways to connect. That is a neat image with the tree and the yoga pose... are you an artist?

Thank you for choosing to join the Phoenix Permaculture Guild, a local 501C3 non-profit education organization that offers classes, training, activities, tours, events and demonstrations on various aspects of sustainable living around the Greater Phoenix Valley. You can read more about the PPG on the ‘About Us’ page, and explore the many groups and resources this Ning “social networking site” has to offer, as well as customize your own Profile Page and connect with new like-minded friends.

You’re encouraged to browse the discussions, blogs, videos, comments to get a feel for our incredibly resourceful community, and to share your interests as well. There are many volunteer opportunities to assist with classes and events, so please let me know if you are interested in helping out when available.

We offer a variety of classes to our members on a donation basis (usually $10 to $20) that goes toward venue hard-costs, also to our experienced and knowledgeable instructors, as well as to support the non-profit in providing quality education for improving our health, our communities and environment. See what classes you may be interested in attending at www.phoenixpermaculture.org/events - and feel free to contact us with any questions.

Thanks!

Hi all- I would like to order some Cornish X next week, but would prefer to have my mother in law raise them in Prescott rather than in Phx.  Anyone know how Cornish X will do in cooler weather up in Prescott?    Jay
