Born in Glendale, California, moved here in 1992 with my husband and two daughters. Having been a vegetarian most of my life, for the past several years have attempted to grow a vegetable garden, as I am now aware that most foods offered in the stores are void of nutrition. Have planted 11 trees in our yard so far, with the intention of planting more, mostly fruit trees, after having been inspired by Greg, of whom we bought our first fruit tree, a lisbon lemon, 4 years ago, and are now enjoying our first crop. Have composted for many years now, still learning ways to having an edible yard. After attending a recent class on growing our own red worms, have a bin that is supplying a rich source of castings. Luckily, we have been rescued by three cats and two dogs, which keep me busy and entertained. Through all of this, I have learned much, mostly to be patient.
Looking forward to being part of this community.
