lil corn cobs

I am not quite an expert (personally having issues with my corn size as well) but growing plump corn cobs is almost impossible unless you use a native american trick of hand fertilizing your cobs yourself. carefully pulling off the tassles and putting them in a bowl or bag to collect the pollen then dusting the corn silk as thouroughly as possible with out rinseing em off when watering. oh and I like the lazy gardening/ composting thats my kind of yard work!!

Hi all- I would like to order some Cornish X next week, but would prefer to have my mother in law raise them in Prescott rather than in Phx.  Anyone know how Cornish X will do in cooler weather up in Prescott?    Jay
