Hi Faiza, when you buy a fruit tree you can prune to keep it just the right size for your area. A good site to check out would be Dave Wilson's Orchard Culture. They suggest some great ideas for the "backyard" orchard.

Are these plum trees pretty compact? I am trying to figure out which trees to plant on my West facing wall which has a space of about 4 feet by 12 feet in my front yard.
