Leanne, that is a great idea on the salt! Maybe its just that i'd like an "adult beverage" right now, but I wonder if one could make a lemongrass margerita and add lemongrass salt to the rim. Or we could just skip all that and have a shot of tequila and call it a night.

That looks absolutely wonderful and refreshing!  Lemongrass is definitely on my "want-to-plant" list, and I'll keep this and the rice idea in mind.  Karis, have you thought about adding it to some salt as well as to sugar?  The salt is wonderful to use in salad dressings, or on veggies like asparagus or spinach.

Ooooh yum! That looks fabulous. I am growing lemon grass too! I will definately try this. Something I like to do with my lemongrass is crush a stem with a mallot (or the back of a spoon) and add it to rice that I am cooking. Makes a delicious fragrant rice. I also want to try adding some crushed lemon grass to a few cups of sugar and making lemongrass scented sugar. So many fun uses!

Growing Org. Lemongrass in large pot in yard. Harvested & steeped Grass, makes a fab tea. cool, add ice & mint sprig. Makes a wonderful visual pot/plant display as well. Use herbs in your flower pots on patio or in yard- enjoy!
