I'd like to plant some desert trees which will grow and eventually give filtered shade to my veggie and flower beds. I'd really like to find some small ones to transplant. I prefer small ones anyway, I think they establish better, but I really can't do much digging since I'm still recovering from a broken wrist.

I tried the Desert Botanical Garden and Baker Nursery since they are nearby but no luck. I know it is probably getting late to plant the trees. Any suggestions?

I would imagine a wholesale nursery would be the only place, aside from transplants from a friend or neighbor. We could pick up some trees for you when we go to the nursery if you'd like. I know we have an order getting picked up early next week. If you'd like, give us a call on Monday to discuss. 602-296-4796.

Treeland nursery in Chandler has a retail and wholesale outlet near Quadalupe and Arizona Ave. Just call first and they will bring up 1 gal trees for you to pick-up.

Thanks for the help guys. Eric, the garden is doing much better this year as you predicted - we're barely keeping up with harvesting the veggies!

Hi all- I would like to order some Cornish X next week, but would prefer to have my mother in law raise them in Prescott rather than in Phx.  Anyone know how Cornish X will do in cooler weather up in Prescott?    Jay
