I was contacted by the woman who posted this Craig's List Ad as she really wants her chickens to go to a good home (she was turned in for illegal chicken keeping and needs to rehome her birds).
This is the Craig's list post, please contact the seller directly:
"i have three hens - a wyandotte, a rhode island red, and a americauna (blue green eggs) all around 6 months old who are actively laying one egg every day. they are free rangers here in my backyard but need more room. i also have a 2 level chicken coop adequate for up to 6 chickens. it has an underneath ramp going up to 2nd level which has an outside accessible brooder box. if anyone is interested i will send pictures which i haven't got available right now, or you could come by and take a look. i love my chickens but the city says i am not in compliance with ordinance."
Is this still available?
Contact the poster directly through the craig's list ad, as I don't think she is checking this page.
Thanks for the tip. I didn't carefully read your post. My apologies.
no. i was not checking this page but wish i had been. i have still not heard from the new owners how the hens are doing and this really bothers me. i will see if they left a phone number in their inquiries to my ad.
hi. i am the seller of the three hens and the coop. i did sell them yesterday to an avondale couple who have 8 acres of irrigated land there. i feel sad tho that they have not let me know how my girls survived the ride (in a large cat carrier) and their reactions to their new home. i guess it is easter but i thought they knew how anxious i was about the hens and i really needed to hear from them today.
