Just viewed the film 'The Future of Food' (website futureoffood.com). I hope everyone on this list will watch this film. If you really can't afford the $20 for the film, it is available free on Hulu. Discussion anyone?

This film appears to tell the same story as the documentary, "Food Inc" Have you seen it?
It has an important message that the world needs to see so that everyone can personally make well informed choices on what they are eating and where the spend their dollars, which translates to who are they supporting. It makes a great case for supporting the local farmers, farmers markets, growing our own foods where possible, by showing the inhumane treatment, unethical practices and unchecked power and monopoly of the three major agribusinesses which are basically running the show.
Is this the message of The Future of Food?

Tami, I am still hoping to see Food, Inc., but haven't been able to get there yet. I'm sure that there is some crossover in these films, but 'Future of Food' is more focused on bio-engineering. It's really rather scary to see how close to the edge we are in terms of controlling the food supply.
