Hi everyone! I'm 99% sure my 8 1/2 week old Barred Plymoth Rock is a rooster! The last 2 days we've distinctly heard a "R-R-rrr" sound while all of the others are still making a cheep-cheep sound! Does anyone want a beautiful chicken??? I live in Peoria, but I am willing to travel within the valley if it means he gets a good home.

Thanks

I live in Peoria and would love to welcome him into my flock. Please contact me, I am at 8374 N. 108th lane.

Praise God! I live at 79th Ave & Peoria...(10803 N. 79th Drive) Would you like me to bring him to you (I can come anytime after 5:45 p.m.), or do you want to see where he comes from? Again Thanks, Caren

No Caren you can bring him tonight, thanks for making the trip! My phone is 602-686-1336!

Thanks again Dorothy for taking our "little man"!

You are welcome! He's doin fine...still peeps like a baby tho. He is too cute.

Fantastic! Have you heard his "R-rr-rrr---" yet?  While I have you, I just posted a question about pecking. One of my 9 Wk old RIR is pecking the heck out of her pals. Do you have any recommendations?

There have been a lot of postings about pecking on the microlivestock page.  See this discussion posted by Rachel.

Yeah, rir are aggressive. It will work itself out over time. Gently discourage her when you are there, otherwise let the girls work it out. PS Our little man has not crowed yet.

Nice happy ending! :-)

@Caren - we are practically neighbors! I am at 79th ave and cactus haha. I was kinda wondering if I was along on the west side =)

Nice to hear from you! I'm new to all of this, but I too thought I was the only one in my neck of the woods (so to speak). We've just moved back into the area a year ago.
