My apple tree has lots of apples and someone asked me if I was going to cull to allow the remaining fruit to get bigger. I'm wondering if I should?

One of the hardest things to do (mentally)...but worth it. You can think of it this way: the tree has a certain # of leaves that can make just enough food for a certain # of fruits. If you want nice sized and "better" quality apples, then you need to make sure and not put a strain on those leaves. (Like having 1 restaurant for every 100 people!)
Another thing I saw happen with my grandparents apple tree, it was younger and it couldn't support all of the weight. I think they had something like 3 branches crack that year!!
~ make sure to compost those culled apples!
Hope this helps

Thanks! I hope tossing the extra apples under the tree counts as beginner composting. :)
