I have a planter that is attached to my house and spans the length of it that I plant geraniums in the winter. I desire to make the best use of my yard and am thinking about planting some veges in there for summer harvest.
It will not get sun until approx 12 pm. Any ideas of veges that will work? I was thinking about alternating my normal heat loving armenium cukes with eggplant. Thoughts?

If you can grow armenian cukes you can indeed grow eggplant, peppers, squash, blackeyed peas either bush or vining type on a trellis and tomatoes which will need some shade cloth when it really heats up. You can also plant basil, thyme, and probably a lot more I'm not thinking of right now. Good luck!
I have the same sun exposure at my house. Last year I did well with Armenian cukes, melon and greens. This year I'll add yellow pear tomato which has always done well in the heat. You will definitely need shade cloth to get you through the summer.
