Event Description

2010 Teach-In: Re-Storying Community
The economic crisis of the past year has created a need for re-imagining new possibilities for restoring communities and social networks. As we work to build more sustainable and justice-based strategies we recognize the power stories can have in this process of restoring communities. Unfortunately, not all stories are heard or valued equally.

The theme of the 9th Annual Local to Global Justice Teach-In, to be held February 27-28, 2010, is Re-Storying Community. This year's event moves us closer to a social forum in which we can share our stories and listen to narratives that are too often pushed to the margins.

This qualifies as Hands-on for the PDC Certificate.

Don,

I forgot to talk to you about this last night. I will be there and will love to help out. What time in the morning will be good for helping set up?

My suggestions:

A picture speaks a 1,000 words

Our group is amazingly diverse and the interests are very broad, from those just gardening to those incorporating all the aspects of permaculture. Also, young and old, etc

I will be "co-organzing" this event with Don, as we've done for many years past. If you have any ideas, comments or suggestions, please feel free to e-mail either one of us... Help us keep the local permaculture movement alive & strong, by educating your friends, family, neighbors and decision-makers!
